Those of you who know me understand my deep commitment to empowering parents as the primary educators of their children. I’ve always believed it's crucial for parents to take an active role in guiding their child's educational journey. Since 2018, I have been privileged to serve as the designated Google for Education Trainer and technology partner for the National Black Home Educators (NBHE).
I'm thrilled when Joyce Burges, the founder of NBHE, agreed to cohost a new series with me that I call the "Home Educators Digital Digest" podcast. Our mission is to equip parents—whether in traditional schools or homeschooling environments—with the latest in technology education, which is often missing from today's curricula.
Joyce and I are united in our belief that mastering technology skills early and practicing them regularly is essential for our youth. Our podcast is just the beginning of providing parents with the necessary resources and insights into the rapidly evolving fields of computer science, coding, artificial intelligence, and basic digital literacy.
Our goal is to demystify technology for parents, ensuring safe and effective technology use for children. We also provide career guidance on high-demand tech jobs and introduce the top learning platforms available.
